OhMGee: Rapper Nicki Minaj and country singer Keith urban are joining the American Idol judges panel when the well-known competition starts its 12th season in January. This season, the panel is expanding from three judges to four. There will be Mariah Carey, original Randy Jackson, Nick Minaj, and Keith Urban. These Judges jumped quick into the action Sunday, already auditioning singers at New York's Lincoln Center. Also,rocker legend Steven Tyler and famous singer Jennifer Lopez left the show at the end of the last season after judging two seasons of American Idol.

The first female solo artist to have seven singles simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. " She represents a different side of the music industry, who has now crossed into the main stream culture with her unique artistry,style, and flair." Says Frot- Coutaz, the CEO of American Idol.
Keith Urban 44
A four-time Grammy Award winner and has recorded 14 songs that topped the country music charts.
" Hes one of country musics true stars who brings with him charm, wit, and knowledge about the industry." Say Frot- Coutaz.
Omg: New Jersey's unemployment rate is about to get a little higher. Mtv says they are cutting the program after thier sixth season, which begins october 6th. Jersey shore became a pop-culture sensation and one of MTV's biggest hits in December 2009. The show has took the guido's and guidettes from thier party house in Seaside Hieghts in New jersey, to Miami beach and eventually to Italy, but no matter where they went, you couldnt take the jersey out of the jersey shor cast. Although this was a very popular show that millions watched every season, two years ago, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie called it "negative for New Jersey," telling a TV interviewer the show "takes a bunch of New Yorkers, drops them at the Jersey Shore and tries to make America feel like this is New Jersey." Most of the cast member ARE from New York.
In other Jersey news. Snooki stole the spotlight just this past sunday when she had birthed her first child Lorenzo, "It's a different kind of love that I never felt before," said Nicole Polizzi 24, of her baby, whom she and Jionni LaValle welcomed on August 26 after more than 24 hours of labor! Good Job Snooki!
